Slow Cooker Kale & Chicken Soup – Get Your Protein and Magnesium!

When it comes to getting lean, it’s vital that you get adequate magnesium to support weight loss and complete protein to support your hard-earned muscle.  This quick crockpot recipe will give you a Popeye-sized dose of each!

What you’ll need …

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, sliced
  • 5 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 3 carrots, peeled & chopped
  • 8 cups organic vegetable broth
  • 1 pound organic kale, washed & chopped
  • 2 chicken breasts, chopped into 1/2 inch cubes
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Fresh ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon red pepper flakes

What you’ll do …

  1. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat
  2. Add chopped chicken, onion, garlic, sea salt & fresh ground black pepper
  3. Cook 5 – 7 minutes or until chicken is browned & onion begins to soften
  4. Move chicken, onion & garlic mixture from pan into slow cooker
  5. Add vegetable broth & carrots
  6. Cover & cook on LOW for 3.5 hours
  7. Add kale to slow cooker, cover  & cook on HIGH for 15 – 20 minutes or until heated through
  8. Spoon soup into individual bowls, top with grated Parmesan cheese & enjoy!

This recipe can be used as a stand-alone meal, or you can leave out the chicken, pairing it with grilled steak, fish or chicken.  Just 15 minutes total prep time … that, my friends, is the 15 Minute Fat Loss Revolution!
